Connecting to the Internet using Broadband in UBUNTU 7.10

System -> Administration -> network

Wired Connection -> Properties

I.P. Address -> 192.168.1.2

DNS -> 192.168.1.1

After you've fed all the mentioned values

Type the following in the terminal:
sudo pppoeconf

Feed the root password and then keep the settings that you want and there !!! You are done...
